Rheem Water Heating product Limited Warranties start on the date of manufacture unless the owner of the product can provide documentary proof of a later installation date. Documentary proof could consist of a copy of a receipt, plumber or plumbing supplier invoice, closing papers for a new residence or new commercial building, local plumbing installation or inspection permit, gas or electricity turn-on certificate, or similar written document. Please keep documented proof in the event of a claim.

If the owner of a Rheem Water Heating product cannot provide documentary proof of the date of installation, the date of manufacture must be used to determine the warranty status of the product. The date of manufacture is contained in the water heaters serial number.
